Aaron Parks came to the attention of Blue Note during his five-year tenure with Terence Blanchard, during which he appeared on three of the trumpeter’s acclaimed Blue Note albums.
Invisible Cinema, his latest recording venture, finds Parks in good shape as both a soloist and composer, buoyed by the support of guitarist Mike Moreno, bassist Matt Penman and drummer Eric Harland. Together they create a new millennium kind of jazz – check out last month`s Lofiles post. Tonight Aaron Parks will be performing at Levontin 7 at 23:30. Highly recommended. Be there.

Lautaro Feldman is a master of his art, his art being songwriting, playing his classical guitar and performing his songs. Originally from Argentina, I saw him playing on the street collecting pennies and fell in love with his music, Especially was moved by one song, called Trampa. I had videotaped him playing that song on a lofi set as well, and you could see that on Lolive. Listen to that wonderfull song.

The Howlies sound to me like a sober no Ritalin version of King Kahn. I saw they were opening for him and the Shrines and it doesnt surprise me. Garrage, punk, 50`s rock % roll, that what comes to mind when you hear them. Check out Aluminum baseball bat

This is our lucky day. Kaisercartel on Laundromatinee, this lovely Brooklyn duo ( we wrote about them months ago and expressed our admiration ), with a live video session for the good guys. This is what our site is about; Purity, simplicity, feel, minimalism, all in the lofi fashion. Acoustic guitar and brushes. Awesome

Platform has been detailing The big Pink`s every move by hosting the band photo roll on the magazine`s website here plus I always loved the loop they are using on this song – it might be a little poppy for lofiles like us but we like it.
