I could swear this was Karen Dalton. But as I have found out later, Chiara Angelicola has been around for quite awhile. This EP was produced by Joel Hamilton, known for his production work with Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, and The black keys. She has written all 6 tracks on this EP of Bird call (Chiara and Joel collab), and as you can hear on ‘Waltz in the snow’, her writing is as accomplished as the performance.
