Full Time Hobby are proud to announce the latest addition to their roster: Pinkunoizu. Named for the Japanese word for “pink noise”, the amorphous, Copenhagen-based band play a mixture of lo-fi,’60s Asian pop and post-apocalyptic future rock. The track is a taster of the band’s first Full Time Hobby release, the three-track PEEP EP, due for a November release. More news on that – and the debut album coming next year – to follow.

If you are doin what we do, meaning, writing and posting and constantly searching for new music, you know the excitement you feel when you lay your hands on a great record. That`s the case with Locust lane I just got from this duo Vacation, bunch of great tracks and as if its not enough, you could grab it for free on their Bandcamp page.

Something we got from Portland`s Boyscout Discovery, and they know we dig this shit right here. Know nothing else about this band or project..The art twist is on us. Hope you like it.

The MFK is a real bad MFKR. I dig his style, a style of a leader….and believe it or not, I wasn’t sleepin on Holy Other new masterpiece (out on Triangle), I just thought, well, everybody was writing and raving about this mother, so I didn’t really try. It`s just when I saw this clip, of ‘Know where’ and recognize the familiar MFK touch (I have been following this badass for quite sometime now), I had to put it up for ya. Enjoy..

We sink

July 28th, 2011

I needed to meditate today, but since I suck at thinking of a mantra or concentrating, I had to find another way. Music is always my first choice, but then, one needs to find the right record. And the right environment, or set. I took my small consumer HD Canon camera, and my Ipod armed with Soley`s new album, and to a walk to the river by my house, (I live in the middle of the city, and my river might not be what you imagine when you think of one, but hey, that`s what I got). While walking down there, I put ‘Kill the clown’ on repeat, and shot some nature moving stills. This is a pretty spontaneous clip I came up with, so lay back, take a hit off your fav smoke and sink to it….. Pre order the album here.. ‘We Sink‘ is out September 2nd on Morr Music, Berlin. Special thanks to Flow at Morr

Carden Plains

July 20th, 2011

Jacob Faurholt is a trustworthy dude. We simply trust his taste in music. He introduced us to a friend and collaborator, Soren Brothers, a Canadian musician whom he met a couple of years ago in Montreal, and had moved to Berlin around the same time he did. That’s about the only thing we could tell you about SB, but I guess his music speaks for itself. Listen to ‘Carden Plains‘ by ‘Man meets bear’, SB`s psuedonimon.

Sleazy Dreams

July 20th, 2011

I guess I could always blame the 90% humidity or the terrible heat. Or the endless list of errands I still got, or my parents horrible mistakes while raisin me, or the fact that I am being expected to be the organized one, although I just want to be given the freedom to create, or accuse the gardener for sending me 20 SMS messages regarding his overdue payments….or hold The band in heaven responsible for refusing to share the earthly burden with us and staying up there, creating there uncompromising kickass music.

Listen to their latest, ‘Seven minutes in heaven‘, out on Norse Korea tapes and purchase it here

Ink on the post

July 18th, 2011

We feel right at home with this middle eastern influenced ‘Ink on the page’ by Phil and the Osophers. Big audio dynamite meets surf meets Jewish Klezmer meets what we call Eastern music.
