Time out

Saturday, August 13th, 2011

It’s the latest from ex-Sparklehorse musician Adam Wiltzie, and composer Dustin O’Halloran. A Winged Victory for the Sullen out on Erased tapes is just the soundtrack I need for my lying on my back bed, just before you go nuts think about all those things you didn’t do or can’t do, this album came to put me in the right frame of mind and save my aching ass. AS pure as it gets. Sorry for being so minimalistic lately, but its my medical state right now….so enjoy my posts while I can..

Meadow Rituals

Monday, August 1st, 2011

We were thrilled to receive the new Luup album from our dear friend Stelios Romaliadis, an album titled “Meadow Rituals” (out on cd/lp by Experimedia). This is a gorgeous album and contains 8 originals and 8 remixes and a cover. We have chosen the cover, an Aaron Martin track, ‘Spiraling‘. The art is on the house as usual, and this is just taste. There is so much more on this incredible record, and we promise to bring you more from project real real soon.

Carden Plains

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011

Jacob Faurholt is a trustworthy dude. We simply trust his taste in music. He introduced us to a friend and collaborator, Soren Brothers, a Canadian musician whom he met a couple of years ago in Montreal, and had moved to Berlin around the same time he did. That’s about the only thing we could tell you about SB, but I guess his music speaks for itself. Listen to ‘Carden Plains‘ by ‘Man meets bear’, SB`s psuedonimon.

Mahleria

Tuesday, June 21st, 2011

The Tel Aviv museum has commissioned experimental music from us few years ago for a multimedia show based around Mahler`s 5th symphony. We have titled this project ‘Mahleria’ and used analogue tape only, pretending we stil live in the pre digital sample heaven era. These are pieces of actual analogue audio tape spliced and then taped back together and we are proud to represent you with a flowing soundscape, 3 pieces we have decided to name Mahleria 1-3. Now availavle on Bandcamp as a digital download..

Head over and buy the EP

Evan Abeele

Wednesday, March 16th, 2011

I have been listening to Evan Abeele`s EP this week, titled Lineage, and if you`d follow them roots, you would probably stumble upon an Eno ambient record. Evan Abeele is the mind behind Memoryhouse, and you could download this 6 track gem for the meager amount of $5. I guess I have abused this record during the last couple of days cause it has enabled me to forget the awefull sights of Japan, and closer, the butchered Fogel family in Itamar.

We are very proud to present LOFILES VOL 1, a collection of tracks and artists that moved us, and we are honored to include all those talents, some are known and some are less known, for your listening pleasure (even if demanding at times). We have chosen  artists and music that challenge your ears and mind, and keep you thinking way after listening, like a great movie, that makes a great impression on you and stays with you for a long time.

To access the lovely pop up player designed by SHS, click on the funky pink ghettoblaster widget on the right handside menu under ‘Recent posts’ category. To download the whole comp as a mixtape go HERE. To view additional info about the artists and credits, go to the compilations section on the main left handside menu.
