SOB stands for ‘Sound Of A Bitch’and is a new extension of The Lofiles org platform. We have decided, after 4 years of fruitful blogging, to expose the artists we believe in to a wider crowd, and to try to run this web station in a unlimited fashion as possible. We are really open to suggestions, recommendations, if there is an interesting artist you might think of that fits the Lofiles bill, Lofi, Experimental, Musical, Minimalistic, Uncompromising, etc, let us know. In the meantime, visit us HERE

This collection of songs has been curated out of the 300 artists and tracks we have covered throughout the year. This has been more or less my iPod’s most abused playlist, and the magical number that we have come up with, are those songs that have accompanied us for the longest time. Those of you that will dig deeper, will realize that our heart belongs to lofi minimalistic bedroom music and we are always on the search for musicians that succeed in making inspiring music within the limitations of their homes or bedroom and despite of the fact they had no budget . SONG ORDER IS PRETTY MUCH MEANINGLESS, allthough we have placed the artists you are most likely to know at the top spots.
We wish you a Merry Christmas, a Happy Chanukah, a Joyous Kwanzaa, and a Happy New Year…and we hope next year will be as inspiring and rewarding as this one.

Monster Rally & RUMTUM is the collaboration of Ted Feighan (Monster Rally) and John Hastings (RUMTUM). The two natives of Cleveland met in Columbus through mutual friends and began bonding over a love of good groove and music. The project is the exploration of their shared musical tastes influenced by hip-hop, psych-pop, dub, dance and funk. The EP, MR&RT, is a seven-track introduction to the sound of Monster Rally & RUMTUM and serves as a preview of what’s to come…Their collaboration EP, MR&RT will be out February 7th, 2012 and can be pre-ordered now from the Waaga records store. Listen to this sweeeet appetizer..

Twenty-four months, 1,100 posts, 500 artists, and we are so happy to still be here, exploding with energy (yeah, believe it or not, we’ve still got some strength left in us). Some of our favorite artists have sent us lovely birthday presents, from songs they wrote especially for the occasion, original clips, fun photos, and birthday wishes. We have so many great gifts to share with you.
We really want to thank our devoted followers and supporters, all these great artists we believe in and whose music we love so much. So Happy Birthday Lofiles….and may there be many more!

I love Men. No, don’t get me wrong, I prefer women sexually, but this art/ performance collective Men, founded by le Tigre`s JD Samason, together with Michael O`Neill (Ladybug) and Ginger Brooks Takahashi is the new shit. They make political dance music, and the succeed in making real left field cutting edge music using the sweetest pop elements. Listen to ‘Off our bodies’, original and remixes and video.
