Albert Murienne had caught me off guard. Its just one of those moments, while I was scheduling a doctor’s appointment for my mom, paying a license voucher at the post office, you know, the type of stuff that makes you regret you are a sophisticated animal…then I have checked upon my emails, looking for the irritating stuff first, naturally, to get it out of the way, and stumbled upon this Black Coffee & Cherry Pie new release, which is how Albert titles this new venture , a brainchild of his after 8 years of turntabling. It all happened after he had discovered the guitar, and I can assure you shit is working. Sweet, simple, no manouvers, straight forward a real enjoyable record. Plus you could head over to his bandcamp page and download for free…Just make sure you click the like button, cause this is the least you could do…Love this album….

Albert Swarm is from a small town somewhere in the north of Finland. He relocated to Brooklyn and during this time, his debut EP Held was thought up and put together mainly in his bedroom using instruments he had packed in his carry-on travel bag.
People often ask me about my involvement with the art of music. So I was debating lately what should best describe this addiction. I mean, I have done it all, wrote music, performed, played the guitar, engineered, produced and remixed, even reviewed and posted some lately. But the most basic connection or simply love, is through sound. It’s the tone the carries me, makes me forgot about lyrics, form, hooks, or structure. Good, sweet, original, repetitive, minimalistic, interesting, grainy, ragged, clean, vintage, new sound does it to me. That’s probably why I love those guys so much..Perispirit is the collaborative project of Ricardo Donoso and Luke Moldof, here delivering their debut album proper after a number of cassette editions for Prurient’s Hospital Productions and Ricardo’s own Semata imprint.

Take a listen to ‘Spiritual church movement’ by those guys and get a drift of what is it that keeps me awake in this tiring cosmos..

This track takes me back to my isolation days…. No, lets refrase, and start at the present, while I am sitting at my regular coffee shop, listening to new tracks, surrounded by freaks like myself, who sit by themselves at the tables, or worse, sitting with a partner, gazing at the small screen in front of them, socializing in solitary… So if we get back to me, I consider the present as my social era! Too Funny!..but back in the days, while I didn’t get the chance to socialize (as in Facebook, Twitter, +1, Linkedin, Soundcloud, Vimeo, Myspace, Bandcamp…etc), I used to put my headphones on, and I am talking back in my parents house, and isolating myself by listening to people that did more drugs than I did. Back to this post subject, I was planning to talk about one hell of a motherfucker, Ezra Buchla, who makes music that encourages you to think, dream, create, or all of the above, and he reminds me of the ability of the prog giants I grew up on, to take me away and enable me a different kind of life.
