Oupa (the solo project of Daniel Blumberg of the UK band Yuck) released its debut album,Forget, on Aug. 16 on Fat Possum in the US and in the UK on Blumberg‘s newly launched label, Boiled Egg, on Aug. 15. Forget was recorded in Daniel’s flat in January of this year. The album will be limited to cassette and digital formats only.

A limited edition book of Daniel’s drawings made during the creation of Forget was released on the same day.

This is a collection of naive sounding ballads, simply and sparsely crafted, beautiful acoustic tunes. I used to love straight in your face dry vocals, but on this instance, it would have made this record maybe too intimate and the reverb use is perfect.
