I keep having dreams that youll let me come back home

December 6th, 2011

These are Noah Klein‘s (Fmly) words about Cameron Potter‘s latest: “”Cameron’s sounds have been floating around the internet for the latter part of this year, maybe you remember hearing them under his former High Sea moniker, but the production of unique and original aural magic has been this dudes game far longer than his bandcamp leads on. We’ve been swooning over his collaborative performances with Birthdays all year long and having the chance to see him drum alongside Sammy “Babydude” Yager, Andrew “Share-a-tories” Morehart, and Jordan “fucking” Lee as a component in the Mutual Benefit live band has been one of the greatest shows I’ve seen all year. Lil’ dude is becoming a staple in the heart of how I imagine Boston, a heart physically tattooed on his neck that pulses with every lyric crooned or beat manifested… ungh, so badass. After months of becoming accustomed to his bite sized gems “I Keep Having Dreams That You’ll Let Me Come Back Home”, from his forthcoming full-length, comes in the form of a heart beat aka a breath of life anthem celebrating the memories of people in your life that don’t repeat. We salute, love and support you Cameron Potter, and I hope that this recording contributed the catharsis in your life that you’ve been searching for”.

Birthdays….for real

April 30th, 2011

Was working on some graphics while listening to Mating falls this morning and that`s what I came up with ( visual above). This is an EP by the Fmly collective`s Sammy Yager and his Birthdays venture. One couldn’t help it but compare the groove and overall feel and melody lines to Animal collective, but personally, I like this bedroom version better. I dig it when its spontaneous, raw, with a ‘we don’t give a f..’ attitude, or maybe this is what you do when you are  young, I don’t know, but hey, who gives a damn….this shitt is workin. Go ahead and download some reel real music…here and there

Confusion

April 29th, 2011

My sincere apology for the confusion about the Birthdays (now Bananas symphony in the photo above) post I have covered yesterday. This article was written about Banana`s symphony and Yohsuke Araki and we will compensate you with a new post about Birthdays and the awesome babydude Sammy Yager real soon.
