SMJ

Specialist Morgen J is Pittsburgh resident Kenny Rakatine. I was checking out one of my favorite blogs, Friendship Bracelet, and was firstly drawn to the colorful animation on the cassette cover. Then I have listen to the 3 tracks and really dug the music too. Real soothing, hypnotic, sounds are being carefully, almost hesitantly chosen. Its funny cause I have felt as if I have been selecting the bellish tones, blips and other percussives and samples for this piece, I cant put my finger on this, but there is certain shyness or naivety to his work, all those small sweet compressed synth sounds evolving forever. There are no dramatic changes or major development in SPJ’s arrangements , but it will be built, slowly and surely, inside you head, trust me on that, just put on your headphones, while in the right frame of mind. Let another wonderful release of Triple U tapes carry you away. And if I convinced you or the music did, Order it HERE
