I have just heard a Django Reinhardt track, and remembered having heard those 2 local artists playing at a radio station in Tel Aviv, one band is Swing De Gitanes, and they are on a Django Reinhardt successors mission, 2 classical guitars and upright bass, and the other one is violinist Mirel Reznik, a Klezmer Gipsy master, playing a violin guitar swinging piece. Recorded these guys last week during a radio show, I love these guys, Swing De Gitanes, great Gypsy music. 2 Acoustic guitars and upright bass, 3 inexpensive mics did the job. Django reinhardt is the fuel to their existence and they say that if u dig what they do you should visit The Rosenbar trio site and you could listen to their great music and a special treat for Django`s 100 birthday.
