House of Wolves is the musical moniker of singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Rey Villalobos. House of Wolves debut album ‘Fold In The Wind‘ was produced and mixed by John Askew (The Dodos, Peggy Sue). This gorgeous song, ‘There she goes’ is accompanied with a stunning video directed written and edited by Lukasz Pytlik.
Been experimenting with some basic video effects, Premiere and putting some sounds together with Reason, to produce this demo.
For those of you who have never heard of Vincent moon; (real name Mathieu Saura, (Paris, August 25, 1979)) is an independent filmmaker from Paris mainly known for his field work music videos of indie rock related musicians and is mostly known for his Take away series of the French trendy La Blogotheque. Besides making music videos he also makes experimental films and documentaries. We have just received this announcement:
…” After 5 years of documenting various forms of independent music, mostly in the realms of European and North American rock and pop music, I needed to explore other cultures, other sounds, and as much as possible expose some rare musicians to another light. My label Petites Planetes, born this year, is made of portraits of my favourite musicians around the world, mostly in non-english speaking countries. The goal behind Petites Planetes, amongst others, is to develop another idea of what has been categorized ‘world music’ for many years, by exploring on the spots lifes and cultures, from traditionnal music, to experimental and popular sounds. Showing those cultures to themselves, and not only for another type of western viewer, organizing filmings as many little local and social events involving the local people, while at the same time experimenting the relationships between music and cinema”.

Sorry for the short break we took, taking care of business, spending few days in this religion heavily soaked town… really glad to be back, love Shilpa Ray and Her Happy Hookers, and this is of the album ‘Teenage and torture’, a title I could really identify with, for those of you that were not as blessed as others. ‘Teenage and torture’ is out on Knitting factory records.
More from this incredible band, The Ramirez brothers, in Jaffa`s flea market, indoors in a coffee shop and outdoors strolling through the funky alleys. We have 2 parallel sets, one that I was shooting with my tiny home camera, no external sound, no editing, and you could see the results right now. The pro session will be posted later.
